An Optimum technician will usually set up your Optimum Online or Optonline primary email at the time of installation. This is how Optimum communicates important news and account status to you, such as billing information and rate plan offers.

If you did the installation yourself, you can set up a new primary email address for your account via the Optimum ID Management Center. In addition, you can create and add up to four additional email addresses to your Optimum Online account.

You can also create up to 14 additional email addresses for your Optimum Online Ultra, Optimum Online Boost Plus, and Optimum Online Boost accounts. To access your email online, sign in to your Optimum Online account.

Create a new primary Optimum account

Step 1

Open your preferred Web browser and go to the Optimum Online ID creation page.

Step 2

Type in your Optimum account number into the “Account Number” field. You can find your account number in your Optimum billing statement.

Step 3

Enter your name into the “Name” field and enter the phone number associated with your account into the “Phone Number” field.

Click the “Next” button and follow the instructions, which will vary depending on the type of Optimum Online account. Then, proceed to finish your Optimum primary account setup.

Access your Optimum email account

Step 1

Open a Web browser and access your Optonline account sign-in page

Step 2

To log in to your account, provide your Optimum username ID and password. Your Optimum ID is the first part of your email address (before the “@” symbol). For example, “your first name” would be the Optimum ID for “yourfirstname@optonline.net.”

Step 3

Click the “Sign In” button to access your Optimum account and view your email.

Add additional email addresses to your Optimum account

Step 1

Open your preferred Web browser and log in to your Optimum account with your primary Optimum ID.

Step 2

Click “Create Additional IDs.”

Step 3

Provide a new email address for your Optimum ID and create a new password for the account.

Step 4

Answer the security questions, and then click “Submit.”

Step 5

Provide the requested information into the required fields in the Personal Information section, and click “Submit” to complete the process. You can start using the email address immediately.
